-write an organized paragraph with a topic sentence, details, and clincher sentence and appropriate style.
-brainstorm and use a variety of vocabulary.
-correctly use adjectives, verbs, adverbs, adjectival clauses, adverbial clauses, and participles.
-create a research-based outline from a source text.
-write an organized 5-paragraph research essay.

Week 2: Greek Republic summary
Week 3:Choose report subject from 3 mentioned in class. Find research materials. Practice adding dress-ups to last week’s summary.
Week 4: 1st source KWO.
Week 5: 2nd and 3rd source KWO
Week 6: Write fused KWO, intro KWO, conclusion KWO, write rough draft
Week 7: Revise and edit, final draft
Week 8: Write the paragraph
Week 9: Write the paragraph, choose essay to bring to next class
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will complete one 5-paragraph research report and three short essays.
I will assess each written assignment using a checklist. Grade will be given upon parent request.
