I have been teaching first grade in a public school for four years now, and reading and writing instruction are my passions! I am a certified Read to Succeed literacy teacher, have a valid teaching license, graduated as Summa Cum Laude, received the Excellence in Early Childhood Education Award from my university, and was a 2022 Teacher of the Year Nominee. I have seen some of my students grow two grade levels in reading. Ever since I was little, I wanted to be an author. I'm still working on that dream, but I've discovered that teaching young students how to write and to enjoy writing is so rewarding and fun! I take my first graders from barely being able to write the first sound of a word to writing complete sentences, fairy tales, personal narratives, poems, and more every year. I love seeing students get excited about reading and writing!
1 file available upon enrollmentI will provide writing paper that can be printed prior to class, however, this specific paper is not required as long as your learner has some kind of paper to use. (I will have digital stickers they can help me choose from when we write our class story together).
