In Write, Sing, Perform: Unleash Your Inner Artist, learners will dive into the exciting world of songwriting, vocal performance, and stage presence. This class is designed to help young creators explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop technical skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Over the course of the program, students will: Write Original Songs: Learn how to craft meaningful lyrics, create catchy melodies, and explore the power of storytelling through music. Improve Vocal Skills: Practice vocal techniques like breathing, projection, and tone to strengthen their voices and build confidence as singers. Enhance Stage Presence: Gain performance skills, overcome stage fright, and learn how to connect with an audience. Collaborate Creatively: Work together in group activities to share ideas, provide feedback, and celebrate each other’s growth. What Will Be Taught? The fundamentals of songwriting: lyrics, melody, rhythm, and structure. Vocal techniques to improve tone, pitch, and control. Performance skills, including stage presence and audience engagement. Confidence-building exercises and self-expression through music. Class Structure Each session is carefully designed to balance creativity, technique, and fun: Warm-Up (5–10 minutes): Breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and short confidence-building affirmations. Creative Exploration (20–25 minutes): Songwriting prompts, brainstorming, and lyric development. Skill Practice (15–20 minutes): Focused exercises on vocal techniques and performance skills. Sharing & Feedback (5–10 minutes): Opportunities for students to share their work in a supportive environment and receive constructive feedback. How Will You Teach? I use a hands-on, interactive teaching style that encourages participation and self-expression. Lessons are tailored to the group’s interests and skill levels, ensuring that each student feels challenged yet supported. With a mix of group activities and individual guidance, learners will stay engaged and inspired throughout the class. What’s My Teaching Style? I create a warm and welcoming space where students feel safe to take creative risks and grow. My approach combines technical instruction with encouragement, fostering not only skill development but also self-confidence and joy in learning. How Much Will Learners Get Out of This Class? By the end of this class, learners will: Have written at least one original song. Gain improved vocal techniques and a stronger, more confident voice. Feel comfortable sharing their music and performing in front of others. Build self-assurance and discover the joy of expressing themselves creatively. This class is perfect for beginners as well as those with some experience who are looking to deepen their skills and explore their creative potential.
Learning Goals
