In this one time creative writing class, students will explore and write a few examples of formatted poetry.
Class experience
In this beginners creative writing class, students will explore and learn to write 3 types of formatted poetry: The Haiku, The Tanka, and The Cinquain. Because these formatted poems do not require rhyming, they are fun and easy to write. A summary of what we learn in class will be posted to the classroom. I teach in a relaxed manner. A poetry summary will be posted to the classroom so that your learner can practice these poems at home.
