As an experienced English / Special Needs / Literacy / ESL teacher, I want to offer a comfortable place for students who struggle with key academic and study skills, in order to help them to complete assignments and discover their own learning style. They are referred to as transferable skills, because they are skills that your child will use throughout his or her lives. Students will improve core academic transferable skills, as well as find what works better for each as a learner, through various presentations, games and projects based on individual learning styles.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (English) and a Bachelor of Education. I have worked as a full-time English / History teacher, as well as a literacy and ESL teacher over my 16+ years of teaching.
Weekly interactive games and / or projects (to later share with class) will be expected to be completed and sent to me for the following class.
Supplies will all depend on the chosen mode the student wishes to present for projects. It is assumed that any materials should be available either at home or a local dollar store or craft store.
