Description

Class Experience

Participants will learn:
To use restrictions/boundaries as a catalyst to creative writing.
To find inspiration to write in unique places.
To consider the differences between various writing genres. (Ex. Play vs Musical Theater, Poems vs Song Lyrics)
Healthy writing habits.
I am a temperamental writer and know all too well what it's like to procrastinate, while wanting desperately to express myself through this form. I am not alone. Most writers have taken years, a lifetime to establish a framework for expressing themselves through writing that works for them. It's a journey that much like the creative writing process takes twists and turns, up hills and through valleys. Learning to embrace that journey can make the difference between starting and procrastination.
I've learned it takes time, effort, practice, flexibility, grace and some peer support along the way.
paper and pen
