I have a grammar challenge for you. But I also have an exploding taco timer. You in? Keep an eye on the time as you tackle prompts like... Write a sentence for each of the seven conjunctions. Add some adjectives to this rather boring paragraph. Make a list of words that begin and end with the same letter. We'll start class with a quick "hello" and then the challenge will be revealed. Students will practice a variety of targeted grammar skills (one per week): -parts of speech (noun, adjective, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction, etc.) -common spelling errors -literary elements (simile, metaphor, etc.) -punctuation (commas, periods, semicolons, etc.) -verb tense -subject verb agreement
As a former middle and high school English teacher, I've taught plenty of grammar lessons. But they were much longer and not as fun.
