I have a creative writing challenge for you. But I also have an exploding taco timer. You in? Keep an eye on the time as you tackle prompts like... ✏️- Write a story without using the letter A. ❓- Write a conversation made up of only questions. 📚- Write a list of the most epic, original book titles you can. We'll start class with a quick "hello" and then the challenge will be revealed. I'll start the seven minute timer (expect a different timer every week), and away we go! Once the time is up, you must stop! No cheating now! To end class, anyone who wishes to share has the floor. (If you'd rather post it in the chat or in the classroom afterwards, that's fine!) ⏳This class is only 15 minutes long. And there are only 3 spots available per section. Expect a small writing club atmosphere! Class will run despite how many of you are present. So what are the challenges? Well...I don't want to give too much away--I've already shown you three up there!--but you can check out the schedule below for a vague list of topics. Earn free classes!⏱️ After your first "Write Now, Right Now" class, you'll receive your very own virtual stopwatch. Earn blocks of time with each class you attend--either this class, the journal prompts class, or the grammar challenge class. Once your stopwatch is half full, your next "Write Now, Right Now" class (any section) is free! You'll be refunded directly after class is over. Earn a second free class when all the spaces are full! You'll get a new stopwatch in your next class to start earning again. We're keeping things fast, fresh, and fun. Let's do this. Despite its low price tag, the content is anything but fluff.
We are working on practical writing skills even in this short amount of time. They may be hidden behind a fun prompt, but we are practicing descriptive writing, point of view, crafting a hook, writing engaging dialogue, and more. Plus you have the added value of being only one of three for a more personalized class experience.
More about the virtual stopwatch:
-The stopwatch has 16 blocks of time. Every class you attend equals one block on the stopwatch, including your first class. After half of the stopwatch is filled in (that's 8 classes), your next class is free. You earn another free class and a new stopwatch after 16 classes.
-All "Write Now, Right Now" classes earn blocks toward the same stopwatch. For example, if you attended this class on Tuesday and the journal prompts class on Wednesday, you'd be filling in 2 blocks on your stopwatch for that week.
-Your free class will apply to whichever "Write Now, Right Now" class is next on your schedule and will be refunded directly AFTER class.
-Blocks are color coded to help you keep track.
