In this comprehensive 10-week course, teens will embark on a journey to master the art of essay writing. From understanding the foundational elements of a well-structured essay to refining the final draft, this course is designed to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in writing. Whether for school assignments, college applications, or personal growth, students will learn to craft essays that are clear, compelling, and effective. The course emphasizes a step-by-step approach, ensuring that each student can build their writing abilities progressively, with plenty of guidance and support along the way.

Class Experience:

This course offers a deep dive into the essential components of essay writing, with each session focusing on key aspects that contribute to crafting a strong, cohesive essay. The class is structured to guide students through every stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to revising and polishing their work. The experience is designed to be interactive and engaging, with a mix of instructional techniques tailored to diverse learning styles.

How is the class structured?

    The course is divided into weekly sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of essay writing. Lessons are designed to build on each other, allowing students to develop their skills progressively.
    Classes include a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work. Students will have opportunities to apply what they’ve learned through exercises and writing assignments.
    The course also incorporates peer review sessions, where students can give and receive feedback in a supportive environment, helping them refine their work.

    The teaching style is highly interactive and student-centered. I use a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, slides, video clips, and hands-on activities, to cater to different learning styles.

This class focuses solely on essay writing and does not include any content that could be upsetting or require extra safety precautions. All materials and activities are appropriate for teens, and no third-party tools requiring accounts will be used.
