Class Experience

Welcome to my ongoing reading and writing course. This course was designed to help students in five major domains: oral language, fluency, listening comprehension, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

This curriculum is ideal for students that need additional support, practice, and enrichment. Students who are homeschooled can also benefit from a complete learning curriculum. This course once a week on a regular basis.

Reading and writing are lifelong skills that learners will need to strengthen and develop as they progress in their academic career. Becoming a critical reader is an important part of a student's academic career. Reading critically requires learners to go beyond the surface level of a text and read closely for meaning. In this class, students will practice reading a variety of texts closely and answering text-dependent short answer questions and essay questions.

Whether your learner struggles with listening comprehension, reading comprehension, answering short answer questions, writes vague written responses, or simply needs additional practice, this class will be a great learning experience.

Students will learn to communicate, read, write, think, explore, and solve problems to develop literacy skills. Today, these skills are used in print, online, and live interactions where people:
* solve problems and think critically
* communicate meaning

* create content
* read, view, and listen for entertainment and so much more!
