Does your learner want to write essays that impress teachers and creative stories that captivate readers? In this 4-week class, students will master essential grammar skills and apply them to both academic and creative writing. This course is designed to be fun, interactive, and practical, helping learners build confidence while improving their writing mechanics. Students will learn to write clear sentences, use punctuation effectively, and apply grammar rules to craft polished essays and engaging stories. Whether they’re preparing for school assignments or exploring creative expression, this course will equip them with the tools to succeed. What will be taught? • The fundamentals of sentence structure: subjects, predicates, and modifiers. • Effective use of punctuation, including commas, semicolons, and quotation marks. • Grammar rules specific to essays: formal tone, transitions, and consistency. • Sentence variety and rhythm for creative storytelling. • Editing and revision techniques for clear, polished writing. Each session is 55 minutes long and includes: • Mini-Lecture: A short, interactive explanation of the week’s topic. • Engaging Activities: Games and quick challenges to reinforce key concepts. • Writing Practice: Guided exercises to apply grammar skills. • Feedback Opportunities: Students will receive feedback on their work to encourage improvement. My teaching style is dynamic and engaging, combining structured lessons with interactive activities to ensure students stay focused and have fun. I use slides for visual clarity, writing examples to model concepts, and collaborative discussions to build confidence. This class is highly interactive. Students will participate in: • Class discussions to share ideas and ask questions. • Writing challenges to apply skills in real time. • Peer reviews and feedback sessions to refine their work. By the end of this course, students will feel confident using grammar to write essays and stories they’re proud to share!
Learning Goals

Parental Guidance
This class does not contain any upsetting or scary content. All writing exercises and activities are age-appropriate for middle school students. No external tools or accounts are required for this course. Parents are encouraged to support their learners by discussing class assignments or providing feedback at home, but this is not mandatory.

This course is designed for middle school students who have a basic understanding of writing sentences and paragraphs. No prior grammar expertise is needed—just a willingness to learn, write, and have fun!
