Students will learn adjectives and begin the writing process. They will put together sentences and those who are ready will prepare paragraphs. Our writing will focus on our pets. The pets can be real or about our stuffed animals. Students can even write about a pet they wish they had. Students will get to share their writing each class with the rest of the students if they want to. I will give prompts to students and guide their writing. Videos will be shown on writing elements. I have taught writing for over ten years to elementary learners and ESL students. My writers always scored high on their state tests. My daughter is homeschooled and she way above her grade level on state tests. I have written children books as well as ESL manuals.
There is no homework but they are always encouraged to write.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
