Description

Class Experience

In this class, learners will be introduced to the parts of a letter and how to address an envelope. The structure of this class will be a follow-along where I model a section and then they try on their own. Each part of the letter is pre-planned. We will write to Santa and tell him something we improved in this year, one thing we want for Christmas, one thing we want for our family, and something we plan to do to help the community. With the help of their parents, learners will fill out the return address on their envelope after class and mail the letter.

Letter template (for older learners, there is a template with no words and for younger learners, there is a template with sentence starters), pencil, envelope, and a stamp.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will not fill out the return address during class in order to respect everyone's privacy. This will need to be done after class with the help of an adult.
