Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 8
In this course students will learn the formula to writing an argument five paragraph essay. We will briefly discuss the difference between opinion and argument writing, then go more in depth on how to find evidence to support an argument, how to organize the essay, and the specific vocabulary to use when writing argument essays. I will include a graphic organizer resource that we'll use in this class, but can also be used for other essays.

We will write a class essay, with me taking the lead for the first body paragraph, us working together for the second body paragraph, and each student working with my guidance on the third body paragraph.
