Imagine your teenager getting an email within 24hours of applying for a job, that says, "Hey, your resume was so impressive. I wanted to let you know I'll be scheduling interviews soon, and that you're already on our shortlist of applicants to contact". Imagine what that will do for your teen's confidence. Many amazing teens and young adults get passed over for jobs they would love to do, simply because of their resume. Employers are busy. They scan resumes fast and forget them just as quickly. What does it take to stand out? To have your resume get opened 10x in one day? With the tools that I'll be teaching in this class, your child will have the confidence to research workplaces they'd love to work at, and boldly apply for a job within the company. Even if they're not currently hiring! The skill of finding a way to make yourself stand out from a very overcrowded market is a skill that will take your teen far in life. It might be a simple casual job today. It can also be a "job of a lifetime" career, 5 years down the track. ***PLEASE COME READY WITH EITHER 1). A link to a job, or 2). An example job, THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO APPLY FOR***

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi Friends!
I'm a creative writer who lives in Brisbane Australia. I'm that weird person who sees a "blinking cursor" on a computer Word document, and gets excited about the potential stories that can come to life on that page!
I also teach group piano classes to kids both online and in my studio here in Australia, which I've been doing since 2011. It's SO much fun.
As someone who has been diagnosed with Autism when I turned 16, I now understand why "normal" or boring teaching methods just don't connect with me. I have since been very passionate about identifying what makes excellent education, for kids. I find great joy in teaching concepts to kids and teens in a way that is much more interesting and simply makes sense!
If you came to meet me in person, you'd likely find me sipping macadamia milk coffees in the local cafe or watching the sunset over the water near my house. I just can't get enough of the beautiful outdoors.
I teach writing classes to kids so they can find ways to bring their stories, their lives and their strengths to life. Everyone is creative and it simply takes the right framework and courage from the learner, to bring their inner stories to life!
I look forward to meeting you in the classroom.
