Have you ever met someone and just thought, “WOW! They’re incredible!” This course will help to students engage in a learning experience with those WOW! Women in history. This class will focus on Malala, including who she is, why she is a WOW Woman, what she is doing now, and more. Learners will participate in a short reading to learn more, engage in discussion questions, play a review Kahoot, and more! Learners are encouraged to make connections throughout the class and to dive deep into the content, in addition to communicating with each other.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

As a woman myself I am very passionate about women's empowerment and helping others learn about the amazing things women have contributed to society. I teach a women's history course for elementary school students every March, and I also teach a course to middle and high school students regarding social justice via the UN's Sustainable Goals for Development.
