Grow from "BEE-ginner" to "BEE-coming" an exceptional writer with Mrs. B! An experienced elementary teacher with strategies and resources for growth and improvement, Mrs. B would love to work with your learner on an area needing development in their writing. Sessions may look like any of the following: -Learners will complete an on-demand writing prompt with Mrs. B. After assessing student writing, Mrs. B will work to provide customized strategies for areas needing improvement in writing skills. Learners can choose to continue practicing this strategic plan with Mrs. B in future tutoring sessions or on their own for future writing pieces. -Learners can provide an already written piece and can review it with Mrs. B. Mrs. B will work to create a strategic plan for growth based on areas of need. Learners can choose to continue practicing this strategic plan with Mrs. B in future tutoring sessions or on their own for future writing pieces. -Learners and Mrs. B will co-write a piece centered in a certain genre (Non-Fiction, Realistic Fiction, or Persuasive Essay). This third option is suggested to do over the course of 2-4 sessions and it may require 2, 30 minute-sessions back to back.

Hello, Outschool! I am an elementary school teacher excited to bring cross-curricular learning experiences that inspire creativity and encourage conceptual mastery for the early learner. I have taught children in grades 1-5 in the public school setting and have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students over the last 15 years. I have a love for learning and am currently pursuing my Masters in Educational Leadership. Finally, I believe that the primary purpose of education is to engage, empower, and enlighten young learners to be influential in the world around them. When I'm not teaching on Outschool, I enjoy writing music, photography, and playing with my 14-month-old toddler.
