20 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this social game, we will look to the Thanksgiving Season for answers. I will open up every class with introductions and then begin our Would Your Rather game. I will present the student with a question and 2 different answers. The student will have time to think and then present their answer to the class. As the teacher, I will prompt students with conversations based on their answers. All enrolled students will be given the opportunity to give an answer to each question. Example Questions: Would you rather cook the entire Thanksgiving meal or clean up the entire Thanksgiving feast? Would you rather wash your hair in mashed potatoes or take a bath in cranberry sauce? Would you rather eat stuffing for an entire month or never eat stuffing again? Our agenda for this 20-minute class: -Introductions and explanation of the class -Game: Questions and discussion time. We will spend about 3 minutes on each slide. Every student will have the chance to answer each question. -Conclusion: Each student will also have a chance to ask their own question. So, start thinking of a good one! Talking about a topic that you are passionate about is fun and helps to build listening and public speaking skills.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Danielle Miller and I'm currently a 6th-grade teacher in Orange County, California. I have 9 years of experience teaching across all content areas for 4th and 6th grade in a public school setting. Throughout my years as an educator, my passion for teaching has led me to work with students of all ages from kindergarten through middle school as a summer enrichment teacher with my school's summer enrichment program for the past four years.
As an educator, I've taught a diverse population of learners which has allowed me to really familiarize myself with K-8 grade-level standards. I firmly believe in meeting students right where they are and pushing them to their fullest potential.
In 2011, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Education, and in 2012 I received my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Cal State University of Fullerton.
It is my truest passion to make learning come to LIFE! I love taking "boring" content and transforming it into a full-on learning experience for students. Infusing my creativity into lessons for my students + creating tangible and memorable learning experiences is what I believe fuels their passion for learning.
My classes will always be inclusive, engaging, and allow every student to cultivate their own learning experience and individuality! We will learn together, but most importantly we will HAVE FUN!
When I am not teaching, I love camping outdoors with my family, cozying up on the couch with a good book, and baking freshly baked cookies and brownies for family and friends. Oh… and did I forget to mention I am also a huge Disney lover!!!
I am excited to get to know your child and I hope our time together sparks their creativity and imagination!
I can’t wait to have fun and learn!
-Ms. Miller 💜
