Would You Rather? Préférez-Vous? A Game in French (Advanced Beginner)

In this near-immersive weekly club in French for advanced beginners (6+ months of French), students will play "would you rather" as a group. This is a great way to practice conversational and cognitive skills.

Class Experience

In this class, students will introduce themselves in English and then we will jump into our game, which will occur in French. This class is near-immerse, so it will involve minimal English. (about 85% French, 15% English) Each "would you rather" scenario will be on a PowerPoint with the proper vocabulary and all students will have the chance to respond to the question before we move into the next. Each week will see different questions. For example: would you rather fly or run really fast?

This class is designed to create a safe space for students to practice their conversational French in a relaxed setting. This class for advanced beginners will involve simple would you rather scenarios so students can be exposed to new vocabulary in a fun environment.

This class will be primarily conducted in French, but I will be able to help students understand or explain things in English if necessary. Students are encouraged in this class to speak slowly and clearly so that everyone can follow along. Because this is a language class and a class based completely on conversation, students are required to have a working camera and microphone.

This class will be taught in French, so students should have at least 6 months French under their belts before coming to this class. This section is perfect for students who have acquired the basic building blocks of French (for example, they've completed my Level 1 French class) but want to expand on their vocabulary. It will be near-immersive so students can be exposed to as much language as possible.

I grew up in a bilingual household here in Canada and we spoke both French and English growing up. Learning multiple languages is a great tool for world travellers, and it is a fantastic tool to stimulate your brain. I love speaking French and cannot wait to share my love of this language with you!
