In this engaging summer-themed "Would You Rather" class, students will have fun interacting with each other while playing a lively game. This conversational class is designed to enhance social skills, meet new friends, and develop public speaking abilities as students explain their reasoning and navigate differing opinions. I, Miss Ivon, will guide the conversations, ask questions, and encourage students to share their thoughts with peers. My "Would You Rather" classes offer a relaxed and positive environment for socializing and learning. Students will unknowingly improve their conversational skills while having a blast! Class Structure: 1. Introduction: I'll introduce myself and get to know the students. 2. Explanation: I'll explain the game "Would You Rather" and how it's played. 3. Gameplay: I'll present selected "Would You Rather" questions using slides with engaging pictures. Students will take turns sharing their answers and explaining their choices. 4. Extended Play: If time permits, students can ask me their own "Would You Rather" questions, and I'll have additional questions ready to keep the fun going. 5. Conclusion: We'll wrap up with goodbyes and look forward to the next class! Teaching Style: As an enthusiastic and energetic teacher, I aim to create a safe and welcoming classroom environment where even shy students feel comfortable sharing their ideas. I encourage open engagement, ensuring respect and kindness among students. Good behavior is applauded, and participation is always appreciated. Every student will have the opportunity to share their answers and reasoning after each question. In my Outschool classes, learning is never boring but always FUN! I love seeing students' creativity and personalities shine, and I welcome learners of all personality types to join my classes. Additional Details: I use "Would You Rather" questions across various topics to keep students of all ages excited and engaged in their learning journey. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there, my name is Ivon and I offer a variety of fun social classes where many life skills are learned. I am privileged to have my own little corner here on Outschool where I attempt to make a positive impact in my learner's life.
My goal is for kids to have a safe environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. As a teacher, I have noticed the want, the desire, and most importantly the need that the kids were having when it comes to socialization. Many learners are eager to show, share, and tell, and at times with other classes, there is only time to hear a little tiny bit of what they actually have to say because a specific topic or information needs to be covered.
*I am currently offering a variety of social life skill classes and clubs for kids of ages 3-14 I have a lot of experience teaching online and I am a social butterfly (but I wasn't always that way) I want to help your kiddos improve and better their social skills in my virtual classroom. I can't wait to make new friends!
A little about me: I am from Florida, USA, and I was raised in a Spanish (Bilingual) household. I am passionate about Language, Culture, Travel, Food, Cooking and Baking, Music, Disney, Dance, and so much more!
I offer English and Spanish classes and I will be adding more classes based on my true passions. I hope that some of my classes can be of interest and benefit to you. Please make sure to scroll down to see what classes I am currently offering. If you don't see a day or time that works for you please feel free to send me a class schedule request and I will try my best to open it for you. Thank you.
My Experience:
I am a TEFL-certified teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certification) I have been an online English and Spanish teacher for kids from different parts of the world for over 3 years now and I teach kids from ages three and up.
Before teaching online I worked in a middle school as a paraprofessional teacher with a visually impaired 8th grader. This opportunity allowed me to become a better teacher because I learned how to explain, teach, help, and touch the hearts of students without them having to physically see anything.
I was also a permanent (K 12) substitute teacher and I spent a lot of time in the special education department, ESL classrooms, and others.
I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and impactful. I understand that all students are different and that each child learns in a different way.
*In my classroom bullying or disrespect will not be tolerated. The classes I offer are supposed to be fun, motivating, and inspiring for all the children. I want all of the kids to in a safe environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves.
