In this one-time class, learners will have the chance to socialize while playing Would You Rather. For those who may not have played before, Would You Rather is a game of silly questions and even sillier answers. This class will focus on animal questions. Examples might include the following: Would you rather be eaten by a shark or a tiger? Would you rather ride to town on a zebra or a hippo. Would you rather live with a herd of buffalo or a herd of rhinos? Would you rather be able to fly like a bird or slither like a snake? Class will begin with brief introductions. Then the instructor will ask several Would You Rather questions and allow time for each learner to answer. Each learner will then have a chance to make up a question to ask their classmates. Finally, during the last few minutes of class, learners will play a speed round where the instructor will ask questions quickly and everyone will respond at the same time. This class is highly interactive. Learners will have ample opportunities to talk and to share ideas. At the same time, this is a great way to practice social skills necessary for online meetings such as taking turns, being respectful of others' talk time, and paying attention. Most of all, though, it's the perfect opportunity to have a ton of fun and meet some new friends. Content will be different for each section of this class; so feel free to join as many sections as you want.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, I'm Teacher Tricia, and I'm so happy to be here on Outschool with you. I teach classes in a variety of subjects including language arts, literature, history, and life skills. As a homeschool mom of two kiddos, I have experience teaching in many different subjects and with ages ranging from early elementary through middle school. I also currently teach at a local co-op where classes are held on a once a week basis in a format very similar to that of Outschool except that I am actually in the same room as my students. In addition I attended Purdue University with a major in Elementary education and received plenty of classroom experience during my time there. I believe education should be a life-long endeavor, and I strive to learn something new everyday. It is my firm belief that when information is given in a fun and interesting way, students are much more likely to find the learning process enjoyable and to remember their classes and the subjects taught far into the future. I also ensure that each of my classes meets the needs of learners of all types. By presenting materials in many different ways and formats, I hope to be able to connect with each and every learner. I am always available if you have questions. I look forward to teaching and learning with you.
