Description
Class Experience
In each class: 1. Students will hear a brief overview of what anxiety is, specifically the physiological process and how strategies can interrupt that process 2. Students will learn at least 2-3 strategies 3. Students will learn why the strategies work to reduce worries and anxiety
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with M.Ed. in Community counseling and a B.A. in Sociology. I have taught Anxiety Awareness/Reduction, to children of all ages, in brick and mortar classrooms, and in group counseling settings.
Students will be encouraged to practice strategies learned in between classes to help commit them to memory.
1 file available upon enrollmentPen and paper for note taking. I'll also supply and outline of the lesson material for learners to follow along with and take notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment will take place throughout the lesson by asking students if they have questions or comments throughout lessons. There will also be opportunities to answer poll questions in the chat box.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents know best if their learner will more comfortable with them by their side. The content of this course doesn't require a parent, but the nature/personality of the specific learner may.
