In this one-time class, we'll learn why worry/anxiety can increase at bedtime, and what strategies can be used to reduce and/or eliminate the anxiety so sleep comes more easily.

This class is available 1:1 for $50, and can be scheduled at a time convenient for you. We'll cover topics listed, plus an additional 8 strategies with discussion on how to implement/ personalize strategies. Have you ever wondered why someone can have a great day, and then start worrying right at bedtime? Or why someone might try to go to sleep but can't because all they can do is think? 1. Students will learn how to define worry/anxiety in terms of feelings and physiological reaction. 2. Students will learn four contributing factors to bedtime anxiety 3. Student will learn five strategies to reduce or eliminate worry/anxiety, to be used before bedtime 4. Student will learn at least eight strategies to reduce/eliminate anxiety, to be used at bedtime, and/or when in bed
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with M.Ed. in Community counseling and a B.A. in Sociology. I have taught Anxiety Awareness/Reduction, to children of all ages, in brick and mortar classrooms, and in group counseling settings.

1 file available upon enrollmentPaper/pen for note taking. There will be a handout that outlines that information covered in the lesson. It can be uploaded in the classroom, and used to follow along or take notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment will take place throughout the lesson by asking students if they have questions or comments throughout lessons. There will also be opportunities to answer poll questions in the chat box.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
