Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
In this unique class blending math and geography, students will not only practice rounding and place value to the thousands using bricks, they will also review continents and different countries while learning interesting facts about some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world! We'll go through an interactive slideshow with photos while writing and building with bricks or duplos.

Currently, the tallest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa. It is located in Dubai (the Middle East) and is about 2,700 feet tall! We'll learn this and more while practicing writing each tower's height to the thousands on the provided worksheet, and rounding to the nearest hundredth using bricks. (We will not be building actual skyscrapers in this class, but we will use blocks to represent how tall they are.)

**You will need a large bag or container for this lesson, about 100 bricks or duplos of similar size.**
This is a great activity for counting to 100!

Classes that do not meet a minimum of 2 students may be cancelled.

Sibling discounts available upon request!
