Class Experience
In this unique class blending math and geography, students will not only practice rounding and place value to the thousands using bricks, they will also review continents and different countries while learning interesting facts about some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world! We'll go through an interactive slideshow with photos while writing and building with bricks or duplos. Currently, the tallest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa. Students will see photos of some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world while practicing rounding skills and writing numbers to the thousandths place.
Printer for provided worksheets or plain paper pencil or other writing utensil about 100 building bricks (such as Lego® or Duplo) of the same or similar size or building blocks
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
