In this 5 week course, learners will journey through the history of World War II from the American perspective. Students will interact with recorded content lectures while they complete guided notes as well as interact with engaging resources courtesy of the National WWII Museum. Once they have completed the notes for the week, they will have the opportunity to engage in historical discussion with their classmates via discussion board in the Outschool classroom. Learners will improve their understanding of US History after Reconstruction.
Discussion boards will be posted weekly to allow students to think critically about the content as they engage with History. They will also be required to complete the guided notes based on unit lectures.
1 file available upon enrollmentAll materials will be provided by me. Students must have access to reliable internet and word or Google Docs.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
I have a masters degree in history and have taught American History in Texas for 6 years. My approach allows students to work at through the content while still engaging with their classmates and the content to develop critical thinking skills.
