Class experience
This class qualifies for the Summer Smash Challenge! During this summer our reading challenge will be to travel around the world and explore the myriad of cultures and people as read about them in Level S-U stories. Leveling of stories listed in (#) is based on the Fountas and Pinnell literacy continuum and stories are taken from RAZ kids Reading A-Z program. Students will create a travel journal and additional activities can be downloaded from class page after each class. Summer...
Practice and maintain reading skills throughout the summer months. Read about different countries, peoples and cultures to broaden knowledge of the world. Keep a journal of their "travels" around the world.
I am a retired teacher who has over 40 years teaching experience in public, private and home school settings. My last years of classroom experience was in the public school system as an intervention tutor in reading and math. I have taught online with Outschool for the past 3 years and absolutely love teaching in the area of language arts.
