In this 5 week Live Class, we'll explore the mythology of 5 of the world's most fascinating civilizations. Each week will focus on a different culture and will also include a broader discussion on the interaction between mythology, religion, and popular culture: Week 1: Greek: featuring Percy Jackson, Disney's Hercules, and a discussion on the inventions of Ancient cultures that are still used today Week 2: Norse: including Marvel's Thor and Loki, and what makes a story a "classic"...

I'm a huge mythology buff and currently teach popular and well-reviewed versions of this course on Outschool as individual classes and as a Flex Class. I've also studied ancient cultures at Georgetown University, including a class in Ancient Greek Religion. I'm excited to share my knowledge and love of culture and mythology with you!
