Class Experience
Looking to explore the world and its cultures? What better way than to explore the myths, legends, and folktales that have shaped those cultures of the world! Stories are what captivate our sense of fun and creativity; stories are what connect us as human beings. In this book club, I will be recommending books for each meeting that are directly inspired by mythology. We circle back Roman and Greek Mythology on a regular basis, but the fun won't stop there! We have covered cultural...
Through this book club, students will: 1) Explain how cultures influence each other through their stories and customs. 2) Create a coherent review of the book they read and give a book talk, which might convince others to read the book. 3) Explore the history of various world cultures and notice how the history still shapes that culture.
I am Korean American and I'm excited to share these stories of my heritage that my Halmoni (grandmother) has passed to me from her childhood!!

Picture books will be shared with the class. Youtube videos and Kahoot will be screenshared by the teacher and students should have devices ready for weekly Kahoots.
