Description
Class Experience
Students will gain an understanding of why the Korean and Vietnam war were so significant to not only the people living in those countries but also played an important part of the Cold War era.
I have a degree in History and am qualified to teach intermediate and senior divisions of History. I have specifically studied this era thoroughly and the major events that occurred during this time. All of the class content will be researched information that is from factual reliable sources accompanied by my extensive knowledge on these subjects.
There will be a quiz (Class 6) to review the learned information. There will be multiple choice, matching, and short answer questions. This test will be fully based on in-class content only. No additional homework will be assigned.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Participation (attendance, oral communication in class) Quiz Course overall: percentage
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This course will cover topics of war (battles, death related to war and famine, ext.). Images will be monitored to not be too graphic. Sensitive and potentially emotional topics will be dealt with respectfully and first-hand accounts will be provided to ensure that the authenticity of these events is honoured. If students have questions or concerns they can always ask questions prior to class to prepare themselves.
