In the second half of a full year-long course, students will learn Modern World History from the Industrial Revolution through Globalization taught using a standards-based curriculum by a certified teacher.

In over 30 years of teaching, I have extensive experience teaching World History to grades 6-12. I not only know the topics deeply (which enables me to guide/answer students' questions) but I have taught every level from special needs to advanced learners. 
Homework Offered
Each week will require a minimum of 1-2 hours that involve watching the video and completing the homework. The homework will vary each week. It may involve reading documents, answering questions, watching additional videos, and more. Approximately every 3-4 weeks, a test will be given on the previous weeks' topics.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
If needed, a letter/percentage grade will be issued at the end of the course based on classwork and tests. There will also be a final cumulative exam at the end. Grades are based on Classwork: 30%, Tests: 30%, Final Exam: 30% Enrichment work is also available to help improve knowledge acquisition and overall grades.

There are sensitive topics covered in World History, including the topics of slavery and genocide. Rest assured that my extensive experience teaching World History enables me to approach these topics in a mature, historical, and sensitive way. If need be, I will follow up with students and parents if there is something that is of a concerning nature.
Poptential.org will be utilized for a free, online textbook. Students will access this through the teacher's account (access code).
