Ongoing World Geography/Social Studies for Homeschool: Continent & Country Study
In this weekly geography/social studies class, we'll learn about a new country, visiting a different continent each week. We’re reviewing maps, key facts, famous landmarks, animals, elements of culture along with the physical and human geography of the country. Weekly country facts worksheet & passport stamp included!

Students will learn about new country each week, reviewing a world map including the continents and large bodies of water. Students will review border countries and key facts about the country of the week.
I absolutely love learning about new places and traveling! I have been teaching geography on Outschool for several years and have taught geography to my ESL students in Asia for several years. As a homeschool parent, we also learn geography and discuss it DAILY in our home.
Homework Offered
Students will receive a country facts worksheet to complete each week, including a map, country flag, capital and more. The worksheet includes the passport stamp of the country of the week which students can cut out and glue into their passports. Students will also be given related content in the form of video links, websites and sometimes worksheets or activities to review and extend their learning after each class as well.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

2 files available upon enrollmentLearners are encouraged to bring their globe, map or atlas to class to refer to when practicing the continents and when finding our new country. Learners may also bring their country facts worksheet to complete during class if they would like. A new country facts worksheet will be provided each week, specific to the country of the week.
