My background includes an AS in History (SOCIAL SCIENCEs), a BS in Elementary and Special Education, and Teacher’s Licensure for K-8 in Virginia. After having lived in the Middle East for several months, I have experienced first hand the conflict of religious belief/ worship and the political controversy which define stateless nations and their ongoing challenges. My under-graduate studies included a study of Islam in its varying degrees of worship as well as Middle Eastern History. Subsequently, my post-graduate study and additional training has been in cultural diversity and its subsequent effects on the classroom and communities of North America.
