In this self-paced class, learners will explore the seven continents and learn about 3 countries on each continent. There will be a variety of crafts, games, and recipes for each destination.

This is a Self-Paced class. *NO LIVE MEETINGS* We live on such a wonderful planet and in this course, learners will get to explore the seven continents by visiting three countries on each continent. Week 1Lesson 1EuropeWe are starting our adventure in Europe. We will travel to Switzerland, Denmark, and Greece. There will be a craft, a recipe, websites to explore, and videos that students can watch.Week 2Lesson 2AsiaThis time we are going to the continent of Asia. We will travel to Turkey, India, and Thailand. There will be a craft, recipe, websites to explore, videos to watch, and game to play on Nearpod.Week 3Lesson 3OceaniaOceania isn't a continent but a geographical region. We will travel to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. There will be a craft, a recipe, websites to explore, videos to watch, and game to play on Nearpod.Week 4Lesson 4AntarcticaAntarctica doesn't have any countries so we will focus on the climate and animals. We will also learn about what researchers do and where they stay. It is a huge continent and we will learn about South Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Egypt. I have backpacked through many countries around the world. This has given me the chance to really learn about and appreciate each one of them. I research every country heavily before teaching the class. I also use my contacts from around the world as references. I am a certified elementary school teacher and have taught social studies every year.
