1-2 hours per week. Students are encouraged to read as much as they would like to about each country before the class. They can choose one area of interest (example: location, capital, flag, weather and other geographical features, customs, typical local food, local wild animals, or any other topic that student is interested in) and research this topic before the class. Students will be encouraged to share their knowledge of the country in the beginning of the class (sources might be required). They are welcome to share pictures and/or videos from their research in the class as well. Additional activity options (after class): 1. Create your own passport and fill it out as we "travel" - files will be shared in the welcome post. 2. Scratch off map, for students to scratch each country that we learn about each week.Assessment

Grades will be provided by request only. If your learner requires a grade, please reach out to the teacher and let them know before the class start time. The teacher will track learners' Kahoot results, homework and participation in class and offer a grade at the end of each month or at the end of the semester. We will also examine the natural environment and any unique features such as volcanoes, mountains, and glaciers. But that’s not all—we’ll also go on virtual reality field trips to breathtaking sites, meet exotic wildlife, and delve into human, physical, and environmental geography. In this class we will be using Nearpod (for visuals and to aid learners participation) and Kahoot (optional). Nearpod link will be provided in the classroom the day before class time. Please aid your learners in connecting to Nearpod before class starts in case if they have not used Nearpod before and are not familiar on how to connect to it.
