Description
Class Experience
Students will improve knowledge of the names of continents, ocean basins, and vocabulary to use an atlas. Students will be introduced to major rivers, lakes, deserts, and mountains. Students will gain knowledge of latitude and longitude and how the equator impacts the temperature.
I have traveled the world, seeing many places in person and can bring that experience into the classroom. I am also working on my elementary education degree and have taught other science classes before.
Students will be given handouts they can print out at home as a review guide and other resources will be given after class.
Students will need the Kahoot app either downloaded to a secondary device to use at the end of class OR have knowledge on how to split a computer screen and use the Kahoot.it website for the quiz. I will supply print out resources students can use after class to practice their knowledge on what we covered in class. This is just an added benefit and not requirement for class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will participate in a Kahoot quiz (game style quiz) at the end of class.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
