Class Experience

Enjoy a cup of tea and a mooncake, if you have one, as we listen to a Chinese song and create holiday art. This class is targeted towards Mandarin beginners. However, those with some Mandarin knowledge will also enjoy getting deeper into the meaning of the song.

The main language of instruction in this class will be English, but I will introduce some simple Mandarin words relating to the Mid-Autumn Festival and the moon. I will encourage the students to chant the Mandarin words and use them...

Students will learn a few Mandarin words and work on their listening comprehension.

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
