In this one-time interactive seminar-type class with video-clips, students learn: What is scent, how dogs are trained to find scent, what scents they can find, tracking and trailing, and why dogs are good at their jobs.

Description
Class Experience
I have presented this class dozens of times in-person to ages 3-adult at libraries and other institutions and clubs with my working K9 present. I have presented this with and without parents present. I am a working K9 trainer and handler instructor (also a pet dog trainer).
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
A "bite suit" is mentioned with a photo of me wearing one. A story is told about a police K9 recertification exam and receiving bites while wearing the bite suit. (Nothing graphic is mentioned). A story is told about feeding blood to bed bugs. (This is related to teaching dogs to scent for bed bugs).
