In this class students will participate in a variety of activities practicing a new list of vocabulary words and their definitions. These activities are geared to help students learn how to use words in the right context.

Description

Class Experience

his class is a vocabulary class, focusing on teaching students to read, write, and define vocabulary words with each lesson. In class students will read the words given and their definition. Then 3-4 activities will be done in class together to help reinforce these definitions of these vocabulary words. Examples of these activities are: Words and their meanings; find the one that doesn’t belong; Apply the meanings; fill in the blank

 At the end of class an interactive game will be played...

To learn to read and define vocabulary words at their grade level.

I have been a homeschool mom for 25+ year, and I have graduated 3 kids. I have a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management and a Masters in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I have worked with many kids grades K-8 teaching them reading and writing. I love working with kids to help them find a love for learning. I believe learning is for life, and education is not just limited to school.

Blooket.com is one of the website we will use for the interactive games, this site does not require an email to play the game.  A code and link to join the game will be provided during class. This is the same for the preapproved sites nearpod.com and kahoot.com. No account is required, a link and code will be provided in class to join the game.
