This is an ongoing systematic approach to vocabulary development that will focus on using context clues, word parts, part of speech, affixes and country of origin to determine word meaning.

Scheduling Note!!
The 7:00 am section of this class will change to 6:00 am in EST the week of November 6th, 2023.  This will accommodate students currently enrolled that do not observe time change as we do in America. This class will also recycle back to Lesson 1 on November 14th, 2023.

This class recycles back to Lesson 1 on Dec 4th for the 5:30 pm Eastern Class!!  Great time to jump into the class. 

 Do you want your learner to develop their vocabulary skills and improve their reading...

Student will gain better understanding of word meaning and develop ways to help them determine meanings of unfamiliar words.
Student will increase reading fluency and comprehension.

Review words for spelling test.
Complete assigned vocabulary exercise.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Wordly Wise

Vocabulary exercises in class
Comprehension questions after reading passage
Spelling Test

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

This class utilizes a third-party tool, Wordly Wise 3000/third edition.  Students must purchase this book and bring it to class each time we meet.  It will be used to discuss the meanings of words and practice word skills.  It also contains the reading passages used for each fluency reading exercise.
