Students are introduced to 5 new words (the, see, and, a, I). Students will have fun clapping, chanting, and cheering these words. We will also work on writing them with proper handwriting. Next, students will be introduced to a new book. This is a beginning reader book using several of the above new words (the, see, and, a, I). Students will practice reading the new book. Students will learn 5 new words. Students will work on their handwriting while writing these 5 new sight words. Students will learn to read a simple, short book containing several of these new words. Students will write a sentence using a sentence frame.
