US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
I will use a variety of teaching tools, including games, multimedia presentations, and creative exercises, to ensure that grammar is not just learned but truly understood. Each class session is structured to provide clear explanations of key grammar rules, followed by practice opportunities that reinforce learning through real-world application. I believe in building confidence through gradual mastery, so our curriculum is designed to cater to different learning styles and paces. No prior grammar knowledge is required to succeed in this class; I will start from the basics and build up to more advanced concepts. This approach is supportive and inclusive, ensuring that all learners, regardless of their starting point, can thrive and enjoy the process of mastering grammar. This class will focus on Grammar in the English Language: Week 1 (Aug 26): Nouns, Verbs, and Subjects Week 2 (Sept 4): Subject-Verb Agreement Week 3 (Sept 9): Clauses and Phrases Week 4 (Sept 16): Pronouns Week 5 (Sept 23): Who vs. Whom/Whoever vs. Whomever Week 6 (Sept 30): Who, That, and Which Week 7 (Oct 7): Adjectives and Adverbs Week 8 (Oct 14): Prepositions

Teacher expertise and credentials
Georgia Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
In 3rd grade, I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. Setting my eyes on that goal, I have a bachelor’s (Spelman College) and master’s degree (Kennesaw State University) in Education. During my four years of teaching, I have been known as the teacher with the best laugh and always making learning fun. I have the most experience with 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade. My favorite subject to teach is math, because I like to think of each problem as a puzzle that needs solving. A close second is Science because of all the experiments.
Teaching takes time and repetition. I like to make sure my students have plenty of practice time with teacher guided instruction and independent practice. I like to set goals with my students and do everything I can to help them be successful.
In my free time, I like to read, shop, put together jigsaw puzzles, and spend time with my family. I also coach science fair and robotics at the school that I teach at. I have over 15 years of experience playing flute. Now, I play with a community orchestra in Georgia.
