Lesson 1: ar /ar/
-Learn about R-controlled vowels.
-Spell one and two syllable words with “ar” pattern.
-Discuss and use new vocabulary words.
-Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
or, ore /or/
-Read and spell words with the /or/ sound.
-Discuss when to use “or” and “ore” spellings.
-Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
er, ir, ur, w+or /er/
-Read and spell words with the /er/ sound.
-Learn the various spelling of the /er/ sound.
-Read and spell words where “wor” makes the /er/ sound.
-Discuss and use new vocabulary words.

Review all R-Controlled Vowels
-Review all R-controlled vowel combinations.
-Practice spelling these words in isolation and in sentences.

Learning Needs
Students with challenges in reading and spelling, including those with dyslexia.
Pre-Requisites
Able to read and spell one and two syllable words such as clutch, pledge, revolt and, twenty.

Notebook and fine tipped marker (ex. Crayola or Flair)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
