-TCH -DGE Endings
・Learn how to choose between -ch and -tch to represent the /ch/ sound.
・Learn how to choose between -ge and -dge to represent the /j/ sound.
・Discuss and use new vocabulary words.
Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Long Vowel Endings
・Review closed syllables.
・Introduce the word endings -ild -old -ind -olt -ost which are exceptions to the closed syllable pattern.
・Analyze and practice irregularly spelled high frequency words in isolation and in sentences. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Vowel Y at the End of Words
・Learn words where Y represents the long i sound.
・Learn when Y represents the long e sound.
・Discuss and use new vocabulary words.

Lesson 4:
Final Syllable Consonant-le
・Read and spell two syllable words with the final syllable Consonant-le.
・Learn and use vocabulary words that follow the spelling pattern.

Learning Needs
Students with challenges in reading and spelling, including those with dyslexia.
Pre-Requisites
Able to read and spell single syllable words such as squid, mist, crunch and shock.
