Class Experience
Welcome to our exciting 4th Grade Common Core Word Problem class! Join us as we explore multi-step word problem strategies including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, area, perimeter, geometry, and more! In each class, we'll start with an engaging "get to know you" question and review classroom rules. We'll then dive into solving word problems at a pace that challenges but also builds confidence in our students. We'll use a mix of teaching methods, including games,...
Students will think critically about math word problems.
I have been a classroom general education teacher for 5 years to heterogeneous groups of students with varying abilities. I have also taught RTI small group lessons on math strategies and concepts throughout an entire grade level. Currently, I am also homeschooling and tutoring students through second grade math.
Paper and pencil to write with.
