Class Experience
*** PLEASE READ BEFORE ENROLLING: I offer several word family classes. My word family classes can be taken in any order. However, students should know their letters by sight and sound prior to enrolling in this class. Students should also know some basic sight words such "as, the, can, is, my, there, was, had, on, so, am," etc. If your child does not yet know some basic sight words, I suggest they take a few of my sight words classes prior to taking my word family classes.*** Word...
On both days, optional homework pages will be posted in the classroom for students to complete after class (should they choose to do so). These homework pages will help reinforce the skills we're working on in class. Students will also have access to the emergent reader and poem that is read aloud in class. Students are encouraged to read (and color if they'd like) these resources with an adult.
On Thursdays, students will need a dry-erase board with a dry erase marker. If you don't have a dry erase board/marker on hand, a piece of paper and a writing utensil will work fine too. Students should also have coloring supplies and the printed poem that will be provided in the class update. No other supplies will be needed on Tuesdays.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
