In this one-time class, let your learner get a sneak peek in the wonderful world of storytelling. During this class, they will learn about fables, write and illustrate their own fable, and there is a bonus crafting activity.
Class experience
If you want to immerse your child in a world of stories, this is the class! Each lesson consists of a different type of story. Each mini lesson explains the elements of the story, includes a reading of the story, and then your child will write and illustrate their own story. Each lesson includes a bonus craft as well. The stories: Fable, Fairytales, Just So, Tall Tales, Hero's Journey, Personal Narratives, Haikus, Limericks, Nursery Rhymes, Comics, and more.

Week 1Lesson 1FableIn this session storytellers will create their own fable and include a moral. Each session includes a mini lesson about the elements needed for the story, a short reading, time to write and illustrate. Students will hear a variety of literature representing many genres and ideas. Students will use the writing process to compose their own story using various writing techniques. Students will write meaningful sentences and paragraphs utilizing appropriate structure. Students will apply figurative language found in literature to enhance written and oral presentations.
