This is an interactive flexible schedule class, so they will have discussions, a project to complete, videos to watch, and Quizlet games.Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 5
This interactive FLEX class will cover some of the most interesting and unique reptile and amphibian species in the world. This is a highly interactive flexible schedule class. There will be a lesson video posted each week which can be watched whenever is convenient for the student. These video lessons will have a 8 reptiles or amphibians in each lesson (total of 32 reptiles/amphibians, over a period of 4 weeks). During the videos, there will be fun pop up activities to keep the video interactive and allow the students to be engaged in learning. The students will not only learn about the reptiles and amphibians themselves, but they will also learn about subjects such as conservation statuses (endangered, extinct, etc.), classification, geography, habitat loss, climate, camouflage, etc. On our classroom page, there will be a flow of discussion questions and activities that the students will be able to participate in. There will be fun Quizlet activities that will allow each student to continue to practice their new knowledge. During these four weeks, the students will have the option of working on their own project. They will be able to choose a reptile and/or amphibian that they would like to do research on and create a research project. I will be actively engaging with the students throughout the four weeks. Week 1: -Understanding the differences between reptiles and amphibians -Focusing on reptiles (what classifies an animal as a reptile) -Learn about 8 different reptile species Week 2: -Reviewing what classifies a reptile & vocabulary learned last week -Learn about 8 different reptile species Week 3: -Reviewing the differences between reptiles and amphibians as we transition into the world of amphibians -Focusing on amphibians (what classifies an animal as an amphibian) -Learn about 8 different amphibian species Week 4: -Review what classifies a amphibians & vocabulary learned last week -Learn about 8 different amphibians Please let me know if you have any questions or requests.

Supply List
They will be creating their own project about an amphibian/reptile, but the way they want to go about this will be flexible with what materials that they want to use. They could create it totally online with a PowerPoint or they could create a poster, drawing, etc.
