Class Experience
Dandelions may seem like an annoying weed, but they have been used throughout history. In this class, students will learn to identify and harvest dandelions. They will also learn about the historical uses of dandelions, how to dry dandelions, which parts are good for "salad", and how to make dandelion tea. Week 1: Dandelions: How to identify? Are there any look-alikes? What parts are useful? Where and when should you pick them? How do you dry them (with or without a dehydrator)? We...
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Subject-related Youtube videos will be used in classes. These will include short topic-related videos. Videos will be comparable to G-rated movies.
