Description
Class Experience
This unique one time class blends history and mythology with the movie (2017)/comic book hero "Wonder Woman." Learners will gain an understanding of the historical and mythological elements behind the story through discusion, photos, videos, virtual field trips, and interactive content. We will cover Wonder Woman's experiences throughout history including WWI, as well as the greek myths that she and other characters are based on. Learners will gain an understanding of the historical and mythological elements behind Wonder Woman.
I am certified to teach history, culture, mythology and social studies lessons to students grades K-8. I have taught these subjects for over 5 years and have extensive knowledge of the topic. In all of my history lessons, all cultures are always presented in an unbiased, non-stereotypical light, showcasing multiple viewpoints.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will need to be able to access Nearpod by either splitting their computer screen between Nearpod and zoom, or using a separate device (phone, tablet, etc.) We will be discussing WWI during this class. Wonder Woman is rated PG13, however any clips shown will be more PG. Please use your own judgement as you know your child best.
