I have a degree in history with a focus on women's history as well as a teaching degree. I am certified to teach social studies grades 4-12. I love learning about and sharing my love for women's history with young girls and women. I think it's important for young females to see themselves represented in history and stories around them. I also love reading, and I am trained in pre-reading and reading strategies to promote comprehension and retainment. I want to help instill in students a life-long love of learning and reading!
All curriculum will be provided by the teacher. Students will need access to crayons, colored pencils, or markers and will need to print their doodle note sheet before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be informally assessed through questioning techniques throughout and at the end of each class
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger students may need technical assistance or parent supervision during class.
